Plot visits for miscanthus plantations 2026

Plot visits for miscanthus plantations 2026

From September to February, the team of seven agronomy advisors is busy preparing the following spring's plantings.

What does this mean in practical terms for future growers?

Novabiom can be contacted in a number of ways: at numerous trade shows (SPACE, Sommet, Caprinov, Salon de la chasse, SIA...), by telephone. It's often word-of-mouth from farmer-customers that leads to contact. These initial discussions at a trade show or by telephone provide an opportunity to identify the broad outlines of the farmer's project, and to plan an on-site visit.

The pre-planting visit is particularly important for the smooth running of the rest of the project. During this visit, we take time to present the miscanthus and our commercial proposal. It's also a great opportunity to build relationships and answer any questions you may have about planting miscanthus and getting the most out of it.
>Another essential point during the visit is to see the potential plots, to identify strengths and weaknesses, identify risks and start talking about the organization of the planting site.

Early visits help to prepare planting:
- For growers, they help to anticipate soil preparation and weed management, and thus limit risks during planting.
- For Novabiom, they help to anticipate rhizome production and ensure it takes place in the best possible conditions.

This period of preparation for planting, with visits to the plots, is therefore key to the success of miscanthus planting the following spring.
