Novabiom supports you in getting the most out of your miscanthus
Excerpt from Novabiom's social and environmental objectives:
"[...] Novabiom, the driving force behind this sector since its inception in 2006, supports farmers in the successful establishment, production, and promotion of their miscanthus crops.
Novabiom, together with its partners, is involved in a regional initiative. Farmers are rebuilding ties through the promotion of miscanthus in short supply chains, serving a circular economy and thus becoming key players in their region. [...]"
In various ways, we contribute to the successful implementation of miscanthus cultivation by farmers themselves in their own regions:
Meeting at the farm between the farmer and Novabiom agricultural advisor to discuss local uses for miscanthus and answer questions.
Sharing experiences and feedback from R&D work via our website, social media, etc.
Publishing guides (planting, boiler project development) to improve skills.
Training and support in implementing a sales approach through themed webinars.
Taking your marketing tool requirements into account: labels, neutral technical data sheets, branded packaging, bulk/bag exchange, etc.
Boost your markets with miscanthus bales
Our production facility near Chartres (28) enables us to produce calibrated and compressed miscanthus bales.
Farmers can boost their market by diversifying their packaging.
Bales make it possible to increase margins on some sales by capturing the mulch and horse bedding markets.
Each producer's local roots are an asset for developing local opportunities, targeting consumers who are interested in short supply chains and high-quality products.
We have two options: either purchase and resale, or bulk/bag exchange.
Miscanthus Crop Buyback
Novabiom purchases miscanthus crops in certain regions.
The valorization of miscanthus cane is a key step in your project. To initiate plantations in your area, meet market demand, and develop local usage projects, Novabiom offers annual or multi-year purchase agreements at guaranteed prices in certain geographical areas.
We offer contracts ranging from €100 to €110 per ton (harvested/stored) over 10 to 15 years to supply our trading markets in certain regions.
We also offer Starter contracts that allow you to consider marketing miscanthus chips yourself, but provide you with a safety net, which is sometimes necessary when deciding to start a miscanthus project on your farm.
The miscanthus market is booming. Whether for bedding, energy, or mulching, you can consider developing your own marketing strategy in your area. The prices are attractive, between €100 and €200/ton in bulk, with yields between 10 and 20 tons/hectare.
