New packaging for miscanthus chips

Novabiom recently acquired a mega-bale press to offer new packaging options for miscanthus chips.

This allows us to meet the demands of customers who want a format that is intermediate between bulk and compressed bales of 140 to 200 liters.

Megaballs and big bags allow calibrated and dust-free chips to be packaged in larger volumes.

What is the advantage of compressed megaballs and big bags?

Compared to bales, they require less handling and reduced/optimized packaging.

Compared to bulk goods, they facilitate storage and optimize transport volumes.

Miscanthus megaballs contain up to 5 m³ (600 kg) of chips.

Compressed big bags contain up to 3.3 m³ (400 kg) of wood chips (2 m³ for non-compressed big bags), for the same floor area.
