MisEauVert: research teams meet to discuss initial progress
It was a great pleasure to welcome the MisEauVert project teams to Champhol, Novabiom, on June 4, to share their initial progress.
As a reminder, MisEauVert - Ecosystem services from miscanthus to restore water quality and soil fertility - is a 5-year project funded by the ANR (ANR-23-CE03-0009). It brings together 4 INRAe teams (BioEcoAgro, Ecosys, Hycar, IJPB) and Novabiom.
This annual meeting, the second since the project was launched in January 2024, was an opportunity to share our respective progress:
- Hycar instrumentation for experimental and control plots.
- Novabiom's experimental miscanthus plot.
- First results of nitrate modeling under crops in the AAC of St-Georges-sur-Eure, by Loïc Strullu.
- A thesis on miscanthus genomic selection is well underway (Manuel Derrien, BioEcoAgro).
- A future thesis for 2025, supervised by Ecosys and Hycar, on "Resilience of miscanthus soil to pesticide residues: consequences for the quality of groundwater recharge".
There was a lively exchange of views on methods and initial results, which promises to be an exciting follow-up to the project.
